Amra Balic

Managing Director, Head of EMEA Investment Stewardship at BlackRock

Amra is an active participant in the public corporate governance, stewardship and responsible investment debate.

She is responsible for leading BlackRock’s investment stewardship efforts in London, covering company engagement including voting in Europe, the Middle East and Africa on behalf of BlackRock’s clients globally and integration of extra financial issues in the investment process. Amra represents BlackRock on a number of industry bodies including the Investment Association Corporate Governance and Engagement Committee and the National Association of Pension Funds (UK) Stewardship Advisory Group. Amra is a founding member of the “2020 Stewardship” working party that co-authored the guide on “Enhancing Stewardship Dialogue” in 2013. Amra joined the board of Eumedion, an independent sustainability and corporate governance foundation, in the Netherlands, in October 2016.
