Catherine Howarth has been Chief Executive of ShareAction since 2008. ShareAction coordinates civil society organisations across Europe to promote responsible investment, with a special focus on mobilising pension funds and other institutional investors to take bolder action on climate-related risk.
Catherine Howarth is a member of the UK Government’s asset management task force and of the UK National Advisory Board on Impact Investing. She is a board member of the Scott Trust, owner of The Guardian media group, serving on the Scott Trust’s investment committee. She was a member-elected trustee of The Pensions Trust, a £9bn pension scheme for the UK’s not-for-profit sector for five years until Spring 2013. Catherine Howarth was recognised by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2014.
