Heike Bach

Heike Bach’s motivation and passion is bringing scientific sound solutions into practice in order to solve societal challenges.

She has founded the company VISTA, an innovative company specialised in applications of remote sensing in hydrology and agriculture. Since the foundation of the company she is Vista’s CEO and manages national and international projects. Her key areas of experience are environmental modelling of hydrological processes using remote sensing data, yield estimation, analyses of imaging spectrometer data, synergistic data utilisation (optical, microwave, GIS) and data assimilation. During the last years her research focus has been on the question how Earth Observation can contribute to food security and sustainable agriculture.
