Marco Zappalorto is a leading expert for challenge prizes and competitions design.
He is currently Head of European Development at Nesta, the UK Innovation, leading the company’s European strategy to expand Nesta’s European reach and core partnerships. Prior to this, Marco contributed to the initial set-up of Nesta’s Challenge Prize Centre and its international expansion. He has led on the design of challenge prizes for the EU Commission, Italian Government and the United Nations Development Programme among others. He has also contributed as an expert to several challenge prize events, workshops and publications and is an EU Commission expert on innovation programmes design.
