Saara Saarinen

I am a Senior Lead in the Innovations function, where we bring people together to develop and test solutions to societal challenges. This often requires learning together. I am particularly interested in interaction between people and taking advantage of intuition, creativity and visuality in advisory work.

I have more than 20 years of experience in working with marketing communications, education, instructional design and digital learning. I have led different service design projects in central government and other places. My education includes a master’s degree in arts, a bachelor’s degree in media and arts, and vocational teacher education, but I proudly call myself a generalist of societal change nowadays. At Sitra, I have worked with the capacity for change and methods of democracy. I have also been responsible for participatory processes in the strategy reform and involved in developing a model of continuous learning, the Sitra Academy.
