Taru Rastas

I am a data policy and business development polymath. I work as a Senior Lead in Sitra’s Data and Artificial Intelligence programme.

I came to Sitra after having worked at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, where I prepared policy measures for digitalisation and coordinated Finland’s agendas in the EU. Multidisciplinary development projects are a source of inspiration for me because I have experience in entrepreneurship, research and business management consulting. I am an economist and a designer, so my toolkit contains methods both from the field of economics and from co-creation and service design. I give lectures on topics related to data and have written a book about how to get value from intellectual capital (Arvoa aineettomasta pääomasta, 2001).[Value from intellectual capital].
