The WCEF2023 hosts, the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and Nordic Innovation – part of Nordic Council of Ministers – welcome companies and organisations large and small to apply for hosting a stand at the WCEF2023 Expo Area. Application process for the WCEF2023 Expo Area
Criteria for applying
What matters the most in the selection process are scalable circular economy solutions – the ones that have the ability to inspire the world towards a nature-positive future and tackle some of the root causes of climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss. We value different perspectives on the circular economy and solutions which accelerate the transition to a regenerative and resilient economy, such as circular design, new business models, reverse cycles, and enabling solutions. For inspiration, have a look at five circular economy business models and 96 cases in Finland.
The applicant must commit to being actively present at the WCEF2023 Expo Area during the entire duration of the WCEF2023 at Messukeskus on 30-31 May 2023 in Helsinki, Finland.
No trading, commerce or sales activities are allowed at the Expo Area. Further Terms and conditions for hosting the Expo Area are available here.
Stand characteristics and costs
The Expo Area will consist of a selection of around 40 stands. The basic set up for each Expo Area stand will be a fixed form: A wall with a print (brandable, no design work included), a table and two chairs, a box for storing small items, a logo on the top of the stand, a light/lamp and electricity for three devices.
The size of an Expo Area stand is 2m2 and the price with a basic set up is 1,480 euros + VAT. At an additional cost, the Expo Area stand host can add a 40” screen (480 euros + VAT), a laptop (280 euros + VAT), ipad (180 euros + VAT), and an extra chair (40 euros + VAT) to the stand.
The Expo Area stand hosts will also cover their own travel and other expenses.
Please note that WCEF2023 is organised according to circular economy principles, so please do not bring future waste to the stands.

Apply by sending your WCEF2023 Expo Area host application form to contactus.wcef@sitra.fi by 26 March 2023, 23:00 CET. The selection will be carried out in March 2023 and all applicants will be informed via email.
