European Commission

Published

Building a circular economy for Europe is a key priority for the European Commission. In 2015, an ambitious Circular Economy package, followed by further initiatives including the first-ever Plastics Strategy for Europe in 2017, were put forward to help European businesses and consumers make the transition to a society where resources are used in a sustainable way and their value is kept in the economy for as long as possible.

At the WCEF2018, the European Commission will showcase innovative, cutting-edge circular economy solutions and services, developed thanks to EU funding, and will inform about funding opportunities through the EU Horizon 2020 and LIFE programmes.
