Markus Kalliola

I am a Programme Director in Sitra’s Future of Well-being solutions programme and a coordinator in the EU’s Joint Action Towards the European Health Data Space (TEHDAS2) and Nordic VALO project. I am also a consultant on several international projects and an active contributor to EU health policy.

I have a Master’s degree in technology, and have been engaged in digitisation projects in the private and public sectors. With my experience as an entrepreneur and an EU official, I understand both practice and the directives. Earlier I was responsible for Sitra’s Health data 2030 project and coordinated EU’s first TEHDAS joint action. In fair data economy project IHAN, I was responsible for influencing the EU. In Isaacus project we were enhancing the secondary use of well-being data in Finland and creating the operating model for the new data provider Findata.
